My hip replacement was a thoroughly satisfactory experience from start to finish. I was walking over a mile with a stick after 3 weeks, back at work after 5 weeks and totally stickless after 6 weeks. I was told that after three months I won't know which hip I had replaced.... and I believe it ! Mr Craik is a thoroughly nice man and highly proficient surgeon. He never failed to take the time to answer questions and was most reassuring. He came strongly recommended by a friend and I would not hesitate to do the same....in fact I already have.

I had a hip replacement and from the initial consultation to my final sign off Mr Craik was informative, reassuring and caring. Six weeks on I am driving and back to walking my dog. The whole experience and every consultation was positive and when my other hip needs replacing I will certainly try to be on Mr Craiks list.

Having had a major car accident 43 years ago resulting in considerable lack of flexion in my right knee, I was somewhat nervous at the prospect of engaging with Mr Craik for a much needed total knee replacement. Mr Craik took time to understand my concerns but never wavered in his expectation of a positive outcome. His reassurance with a caring smile from the first consultation to discharge made the whole journey worthwhile. Mr Craik’s explanation of the risks involved were outweighed by his positivity and the trust he engendered. Now, nine weeks on and following lots of physio and hydro therapy I have greater flexion in the joint than before surgery and will this afternoon be swinging a golf club for the first time post op. Thank you!

I had a hip replacement with Mr Craik. He made the whole experience bearable with his attention to my concerns and detailed explanations of the process - all with a reassuring smile. I am probably going to need the other hip replacement next year, so will try to be on his list again

I arrived at Johnathan Craik door with a patched broken femur neck. Unfortunately due to medical aid and their exclusions it took us a year before I had a total hip replacement. Very thorough is Mr Craik. Great care and interest in his patient. I'm back to normal and can't thank him enough. I'll be going back for my knee one of these days so see you soon.
